Pallant Bookshop cards for St Wilfrid’s hospice

PALLANT Bookshop is supporting St Wilfrid’s Hospice with its Christmas card this year.

The card features a painting, entitled South Downs in Winter, 2011, by the Chichester artist Peter Iden, who died in March this year.

Iden is nationally recognised and his modern abstract paintings of the South Downs and other landscapes have been widely exhibited in the South, in London at the Royal Institution, at Messum’s Gallery and at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. He also exhibited regularly at the Oxmarket Gallery, Chichester.

He was a great supporter of Pallant House Gallery Bookshop, the South Downs Trust, and St Wilfrid’s. A retrospective exhibition will take place at the Otter Gallery during June and July, 2013.

The cards have been produced by Pallant Bookshop in aid of St Wilfrid’s and cost £5 for a pack of six. They are available from St Wilfrid’s Hospice’s reception, the Hospice’s shops in Emsworth and South Street, Chichester, and Pallant Bookshop.
