Police appeal after car ends up in field between Bognor Regis and Chichester

Police are appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle crash on the A259 Chichester Road between Bognor Regis and Chichester on Friday (21 August).

It happened at around 12.20pm when a green Mercedes Benz SLC 450 travelling south-east left the road and crashed through a fence into a field.

Emergency services, including the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance, were called to the scene at Groves Farm, Colworth.

The car’s driver, a 65-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital, where he has been detained for treatment.
