SUSSEX Police renewed their appeal for witnesses to a car crash in Birdham, as a 46-year-old woman remains in a coma.
The crash yesterday morning (March 4), involved a car and a garden wall on Bell Lane, Birdham, and police, fire crews and the ambulance service attended the scene just after 9.15am.
A woman was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries.
A Sussex Police spokesman sais: “A 46-year-old woman from Chichester remains in a medically-induced coma in Southampton General Hospital following a serious collision at Birdham on Monday (March 4).
“The woman, who was a front seat passenger in a blue Renault Clio involved in a single vehicle collision in Bell Lane at 9.15am, suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.
“The driver, a 20-year-old woman, and the rear sit passenger, a 23-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.”
Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Senate or email email@example.com.
