The man who died on the A27 has been named by police.
Sigitas Jagminas, 61, was from Lithuania and had been living in the Chichester area for some time. He was of no fixed address.
Mr Jagminas died on Friday, January 20 on the eastbound carriageway of the A27 at Chichester.
Sergeant Mel Doyle of Sussex Police’s Roads Policing Unit said: “Police would like to encourage all pedestrians wishing to cross the A27 to do so at designated crossing points only, such as the pedestrian footbridge or the canal underpass.”
There have been three deaths along that stretch since December.
