WATCH a video of Chichester Cathedral’s acting dean Canon Tim Schofield doing the ice bucket challenge alongside the chancellor, Canon Dr Anthony Cane and restoration trust director Craig Sergeant.

All three got a soaking on the Cathedral grounds on Thursday morning (September 5) having been nominated by Portsmouth Cathedral when members there undertook the charity challenge, which is currently sweeping social media websites.

“We are delighted to enter into the spirit of the campaign and we will be donating to the Motor Neurone Disease Association as well as getting iced today,” Canon Schofield said before his dunking.

“We hope others will be inspired to give to this very worthy charity.

“Before we get wet we’re going to spread the love and nominate three others.

“The Chapter of Salisbury Cathedral, Winchester Cathedral and our colleagues representing the Chichester Diocese at Church House in Hove.”
