THERE was a good turnout at an annual model railway exhibition in Chichester.
The event was organised by the Chichester Lions Club and saw a number of exhibitors turn up with their models on show.
It was held at Chichester High School for Boys on Saturday.
In addition to the displays, there was also an important safety message for visitors.
The British Transport Police was on hand along with Network Rail this year to give information about the dangers of the railway – and how to avoid them.
The Lions Club said it secured their attendance its of the continuing dangers posed at the large number of single-barrier level crossings in the area, but the advice also related to other items of railway safety.
There were 20 working layouts in scales from N-gauge, through TT and 00, to 0-gauge, on show.
The Lions Club said it was grateful for the financial support from Chichester-based companies Dyson King, Panther Truck Rental, and Dunnaways Private Car Hire.
All proceeds from the day went towards charities supported by the Chichester Lions Club.
