Strong winds brought high waves into Bosham and Emsworth today (October 9).
A red alert was given by the Environment Agency for both villages so residents protected themselves with flood boards.
In Bosham, the tide made it’s way up Bosham Lane and the High Street at around 2.30pm.
A number of people even gained themselves front row seats for any drama at the Breeze cafe, which was surrounded by impressive waves.
Jane Mackenzie, owner of the cafe, who also lives over the road on the seafront, said the cafe was surrounded by angry waves but she was given plenty of time to prepare.
She said: “If you get a flood alert you know to get everything prepared. Everyone’s got boards to put in.”
