RESIDENTS in the Bognor Regis area awoke to find a sprinkling of snow had fallen.
The expected snow started to fall in the early hours of this morning (Monday, March 11) and settled on cars and buildings.
Some delays were experienced by motorists coming in and out of Bognor as traffic on main routes was slow.
Sussex Police have also warned drivers to make allowances for the wintry weather as road policing units were called to a number of crashes caused by the snowy conditions across Sussex.
Rail passengers travelling between Bognor and London Victoria were also disrupted due to poor conditions at Havant, and at Pulborough.
Replacement buses were running between Horsham and Barnham, with journey times likely to be extended by 60 minutes.
