VIDEO: Selsey lifeboat tows stricken vessel to safety

THE SELSEY lifeboat crew went to the aid of a fishing boat that was stranded off the Bill.

The lifeboat launched at 1.31pm on Thursday (September 25) to help the boat, whose crew reported its engine had failed to start.

The seven-metre fishing boat Lady P had three people aboard and was 12 miles off Selsey Bill.

The lifeboat was on the scene at 2.09pm and a tow was established, with a course then set for Langstone Harbour.

The entrance to Langstone was reached at 5.30pm.
