The weather hasn’t been able to make up its mind for the first two days of the Festival of Speed this year.
But that still hasn’t stopped thousands of people from visiting the annual event at Goodwood.
After a wet start this morning (June 30), Formula One World Champions Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button wowed motor fans when they took part in the hillclimb. TV star Jesse James also took to the hill on his 900bhp Trophy Truck.
Another one of the highlights of the day was the appearance of festival-debutant and four-time formula one world champion Alain Prost, who was mobbed by fans trying to get an autograph in a unique exhibition dedicated to his impressive racing career.
Tomorrow there will be more races and rallies. There will be a tribute to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in the morning and a Typhoon air display at 3pm among many other events.
