A NEW Retro and Vintage shop is set to open and boost charity funds.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice has announced the opening of the shop at 11 Eastgate Square, Chichester.

It will be opened at 10am on Thursday, July 10, by entertainer Dawn Gracie.

“The shop will be different to our other traditional charity shops, and will stock all the wonderful authentic donated retro and vintage items we receive throughout the year,” said a spokeswoman for the hospice.

“Many people visit our annual Vintage Affair at the Assembly Rooms, in North Street, Chichester, at the end of August, which is an ideal opportunity to purchase an outfit for the Goodwood Revival.

“The idea of the new Retro and Vintage shop is to provide an outlet not just for clothes, jewellery and accessories, but also selected items of furniture, bric-a-brac, collectables, vinyl and toys.

“The shop will also stock a range of kitchen and haberdashery items.

“There is great interest in recycling and upcycling at the moment, and this shop will give people the opportunity to give a
new lease of life to some pre-loved items.

“Please call in and see us soon for some recycling inspiration.”
