YOUNG people from across West Sussex gathered at County Hall to discuss the issue of transport.
Around 40 young people and 20 adults took part in the weekend event, which was organised to discuss and debate young people’s travel needs and issues, with the aim of finding solutions to some of the problems they faced.
The event was organised by West Sussex County Council and included a question session in the council chambers. Among the panel were Cllr Pieter Montyn, who has responsibility for transport, officers from WSCC and Chichester District Council, the county’s youth cabinet, transport operators and representatives from Sussex Community Rail Partnership.
A highlight was being able to get on the Metrobus and print off tickets!
Helen Butcher, from WSCC. said: “The event went really well especially as it was quite a long programme of activities taking place out of normal working hours and in young people’s own time.”
