WILD wind stopped the wheelbarrows at an annual tradition in Chichester.
The yearly wheelbarrow walk from outside St Pancras Church to the almshouses in Tozer Way, with food for Christmas, had to relocate inside the church.
Residents were brought there and presented with food. Town cryer Richard Plowman said it was the first time in living memory weather stopped the walk, but it had nevertheless been a success.
“It was really nice and worked out very well,” he said.
