Witnesses sought after assault in Chichester

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attack outside a kebab shop in Chichester.

Sussex Police revealed today an 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attack on a 16-year-old boy in Southgate, Chichester, during the early hours of Saturday, November 2.

The man was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after the boy was punched in the face and had his spectacles broken in an incident outside the Stavros Takeaway, opposite The Globe Inn, around 12.30am.

Police are still trying to establish the full circumstances and the 18-year-old has been released on bail until November 25.
