TWO traffic accidents took place on roads around Chichester within an hour of each other on Sunday afternoon.

At around 2.40pm two cars collided on the A27 close to the Fishbourne Roundabout leaving one woman trapped in her car.

Fire crews had to cut the roof off to free her before she was taken to St Richard’s Hospital for treatment.

It caused delays on the bypass and then at around 3.40pm, two cars collided in Donnington at the Green Lane and Selsey Road junction.

Police, fire and ambulance services again attended but none of the six people in the two cars was trapped and there were no serious injuries reported.
