A woman has been taken to hospital after a lorry and car crashed on the A286.

Traffic has been delayed in both directions after emergency services were called to the scene near Cocking at 5.17pm today (Tuesday March 15).

A fire service spokesman said firefighters cut a woman out of a vehicle before she was taken to hospital.

A police spokesman said traffic was delayed in both directions at 6.15pm.
