A NEW family-friendly addition to the bank holiday racing fun at Goodwood has been unveiled.
The racecourse’s children’s play area was put to the test by 60 of the March school’s pupils from Years 4 and 5 on Monday, just in time for the May Festival which starts today.
Sponsored by Butlin’s, the playground in the Lennox Enclosure offers a balance pole, basket swing, roundabout and climbing log challenge.
Youngsters can make the most of it during the May Festival weekend, which runs until Saturday, as well as enjoying vintage fairground attractions, chairoplanes and a hall of mirrors.
As a special offer for the bank holiday weekend, Goodwood is offering grandparents aged over 65 half-price entry – and children go free.
“Families are really important to us and entry for under 18’s is complimentary at all of our afternoon meetings,” said Adam Waterworth, the racecourse’s managing director.
“With our grandparents offer and free funfair, this is an attractive and affordable family day out.”
