Your chance to question commissioner

editorial image

WITH Sussex’s first police and crime commissioner Katy Bourne settled into her role, the Observer series is offering readers an exciting opportunity to question her.

Over the coming weeks, we will be taking your questions and putting a selection of the best to the commissioner.

Mrs Bourne was elected to the £85,000 a year post in November, after pipping Labour’s Godfrey Daniel on second preference votes.

Based in Lewes, she took office on November 22.

In this short time, she has started implementing her ideas and has drafted her police and crime plan, which outlines key policies and local objectives.

This has to be approved by the Police and Crime Panel, with a final version to be announced in April.

To submit a question, email oliver.poole@jpress.co.uk, or submit them to our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
