UPDATE: West Ashling caravan blaze was a ‘deliberate ignition’

THE fire at a caravan in West Ashling was deliberately set alight according to West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

They were called at around 8pm this evening (February 17), to the blaze in Ratham Lane.

A fire service spokeswoman said it had been established as a ’deliberate ignition’ and the caravan was 100 per cent destroyed by the fire.

No-one was in the caravan at the time or hurt in the blaze.

The fire crews are still at the scene, but have put the fire out.
