Insults to city

I must protest very strongly at the gross mistakes made in the otherwise well-laid-out Chichester Festivities programme.

First of all Chichester on the front cover is spelt with a lower-case C, which is grossly insulting to the city and its citizens.

There are a great many likewise ‘insults’: Cathedral, St John’s Chapel , St John’s Street, persons’ names spelt with a small letters and one very insulting case, the Central Band of The Royal Air Force.

All the days of the week are without a capital letters.

There are errors throughout the programme. I think it is an insult to produce a programme of this sort.

How do they think we can teach our children to spell correctly and foreigners to learn correct English? The programme should be withdrawn and republished correctly.
