Public are treated with contempt and disregard

The Chichester Observer deserves full marks for the determined efforts they made to uncover the truth relating to the severance costs to the taxpayer of several of West Sussex County Council’s elite.

The WSCC leader gets nought out of ten for the profligacy displayed.

That the ex-chief executive of WSCC was able to pocket an enormous pay-off and then, within a very short space of time, take up another public sector taxpayer-funded post says much about the contempt and easy disregard with which the paying public are treated by local government – and quangos – alike.
