WHILE returning from our boat in Emsworth harbour a couple of weeks ago my husband collapsed over the outboard motor of our dingy without warning.
Luckily after ten days in hospital he is making progress back to health. Within seconds of the incident, harbour users helped to get him ashore, called ambulances and looked after the dingy and ferried me to my car while my husband was taken to hospital.
So to the people who so ably assisted, fishermen, boatmen coastguard and ambulance and a nurse thank you all, the practical common sense approach to this event and compassion shown to my husband and myself made me feel that there’s not a lot wrong with the great British public, in fact a great deal to be commended.
