Suggestions have been flooding in about the eerie sounds recorded in the Observer offices as part of our paranormal investigation.
Readers have been letting us know what they think, one take on the sound at the begining of the recording is of a man crying, "Is it because I'm dead?"

Other insights are that the heartbeat sound at the end of the tape could be marching army, or soldiers playing the drum.

Listen to an amplified recording of the original sound by clicking on the green button at the top.
