There's news from Chichester, Selsey, Cowdray Park, Bognor and Avisford Park in our weekly golf round-up.
CHICHESTER
Sally Haygarth, proprietor of Chichester Golf Club, presented the Haygarth Shield to Chichester veterans' captain Dave Gilder after their 8½-3½ home win against sister club Hill Barn in Worthing.

SELSEY
Sylvia Carter is the winner of the Margaret Bond Trophy.
Coming in with 40 points, Sylvia won on countback from Penny Hesp.
Club captain Denny Terry, a member for 42 years, partnered Joan Bramer in gale-force winds to win the Tom Keep mixed foursomes stableford trophy with 34 points. Runners-up were Craig Newman and Penny Hesp.
In the juniors' Max Faulkner's qualifying medal round, there were scores golfers dream of.
Jamie Dowsett, who is 15, shot a gross 89 nett 58, resulting in a 4.5 handicap reduction. Dan Osborne hit a gross 81, nett 61.
More good scores came in the veterans' August stableford.
Division-one and overall winner was Julien Lindsey-Clark with 37 points. Division two was won by Graham S Smith (33); division three Basil Taplin (33).
At the RNLI medal competition held in difficult conditions, Greg Krijgsman shot 79 (nett 63) to win by one from Jack Osborne.
Both broke the 80 barrier to qualify as Seal badge holders.
Greg arrived at the par three 18th with three shots in hand to hit the 80 mark.
Into a strong headwind he hit his best drive of the day, landing 10ft from the pin before two-putting. His handicap has been cut from 16.4 to 14.9.
COWDRAY PARK
Cowdray Park seniors lost 7-1 at the home of their Petersfield counterparts.

AVISFORD PARK
Avisford Park seniors visited Foxbridge Seniors and came back with a 3-3 draw.
Results: Graham Brawn and Gerry Reid lost 4&2 to Alan Buck and Paul Woolldridge; Bill Lock and Norman Turner won 2&1 against Tony Gibbs and David Guest; Brian Coughlan and Roger White won by 1 hole from Tony Elkins-Green and Gary Bowles; Ron Field and Del Pescud lost 4&3 to Robin Norman and David Thompson; Wally Lock and Mike Gammon lost 3&1 to Colin Kerr and Bill Lait; John Hall and Terry Smith won 6&5 against Peter Carless and Ivor Levett.
Avisford Park seniors held their club championship, involving 45 members. A superb buffet lunch in the clubhouse followed.

BOGNOR
After their away win at Corhampton, Bognor veterans won the home match 6-2.

Some 72 players took part in the Frank Ellis Zimmer Trophy.
The competition was sponsored by Frank, a great supporter of the veterans' section.
It was won by Berit Smallcorn, the third lady to win since its inception in 1995, with 43 points. Andrew Drysdale was second on 36 points on countback from Gary Steventon.
The ladies' prize went to Sheila Hendrick on 37 and the Over-80 prize to Keith Setchell on 32.
The winning team were Sue Doughty, Joe Cookson, John King and Ken Morgan.
