More than 3,500 racegoers poured through the gates on Sunday to see Hello Bud, ridden by David England, win the National and cap trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies' great weekend.

His horse Imperial Commander had won the Paddy Power Gold Cup on Saturday at Cheltenham.

Jason Maguire steered 20/1 shot Ned Ludd to victory in Fontwell's Tikram Handicap Hurdle.

Gary Moore had an excellent day on Sunday – he won the big race at Cheltenham, the Greatwood Hurdle, with Numide and then had a winner at Fontwell Park with Heathcote.

Author Jim Beavis, with help from training legend Josh Gifford, launched his new book, The History of Fontwell Park. Well over 100 copies, signed by Gifford, were sold.

Season tickets for the 2009 season at Fontwell are now on sale.
They cost £200 if bought before December 15 and cover admission to all 22 fixtures. The price goes up after this date.

Benefits include organised trips to other courses' race meetings, a chance to take a friend in for free and an open morning to look behind the scenes and walk the course with officials and a jockey.

A trip to trainer Gary Moore's yard is also planned.

For 2009, one price will cover all enclosures. The premier area will be cordoned off halfway through the year for work to start on a new grandstand.
