Mick Jenkins reflected on Bognor's draw with Weston and admitted: We should have got more than a point.
The Rocks dominated the second half but had only Jordan Hughes' equaliser to show for their efforts.
Tom Clarke missed a couple of good chances, Michael McEnery saw his shot saved following a mesmering run, and Hughes blazed a couple of efforts ov
er the bar.
Jenkins said: "We created some great chances in the second half but just couldn't finish them off.
"For me as manager I have to view it as another two points dropped. It was one-way traffic in the second half apart from one shot which deflected just wide of the post.
"Overall I'm disappointed with the result but delighted with the response after a very lethargic performance in the first half."
The Rocks went into the game without suspended striker Steffan Gaisie.
Jenkins opted for a three-man srikeforce of Hughes, Clarke and Louie Castles.
But the Rocks lost Castles with a hip injury after 18 minutes and although they created a couple of opportunities, they were indebted to keeper Chris Tardif for keeping them in the game in the first half.
The former Pompey stopper made flying saves to deny Marc McGregor and Ashan Holgate but could do nothing to keep out Marvin Brown's effort in first-half stoppage time.
The Rocks came out a different team in the second half and Clarke should have done better when he was sent clear by Duncan Jupp's magnificent long-range pass.
And the goal their efforts deserved arrived on 72 minutes when Hughes latched on to Tardif's clearance and tucked his shot under the advancing Ryan Northmore.
Jenkins said: "We were very leggy and lethargic in the first half and it's disappointing we started to play only in the second half.
"Jordan worked very hard and deserved his goal. I thought Tom Clarke had a couple of decent opportunities and Michael McEnery was unlucky with his shot which was saved at the near post."
