Midhurst v Leckford
Midhurst crushed Luckford by 142 runs thanks to a magnificent 119 from Simon Lush and two aggressive spells of fast bowling from Tim Powell.

Lush added another well-crafted hundred to his tally. He shared in an opening stand of 93 with Michael Goodwin (29), taking an anchoring role.
Richard Gough blasted a quickfire 22 before being caught.

Geoff Smith (8) and Tim Powell (17) also fell to Marriott before a collapse ensued with the May twins, Stephen and Chris, falling to Taylor.

Lush then fell to Taylor as he tried to force the scoring. His 119, with 15 boundaries, was scored off 121 balls.

Harvey Cowell and Julian Goodale (12) belied their ages by scampering hard in an eighth-wicket stand of 34. Cowell spanked the final ball for four.

Marriott took four wickets and Taylor three but they could not prevent Midhurst accumulating 253.

Powell did for a bemused Bulpitt, bowling him neck and crop for a duck with the third ball of the innings.

Ambler and Robertson restored pride for Leckford before Goodale took two wickets in two balls.

With the run-rate spiralling, it was a matter of time before Midhurst's attack reaped rewards sown by the batsmen.

Harry Green bowled an exemplary spell of five overs, removing Smithson. He claimed Walmsley's scalp by running him out off another dropped catch, clearing the way for Powell and Chris May to clean up the tail.

Leckford were dismissed for 111 as Midhurst stayed top of Hampshire League division two.

Ordnance Survey v Bosham
Bosham put on a masterclass of batting as they dominated their game against Ordnance Survey.

They claimed maximum points as they posted a season-high total of 281 before bowling out OS for just 121.

Mark Allen and Duncan Barratt put on an opening stand of 103. Barratt had 51 when he was caught by Edara but his dismissal allowed Nick Outram a chance to rediscover his form.

He quickly went on to score 50 before being bowled by Homewood.

Allen was compiling another big score, but as he tried to up the tempo to end his innings with a flourish, he was bowled by Homewood for 83.

In stepped James Callaghan to round off an excellent batting display with a scintillating 45 from 19 balls.

The effects of a long afternoon in the field were evident as OS started their innings in lacklustre manner.

George Barratt and Martin Farrell took early wickets.

A superb spell of bowling from veteran John Barnett ensured Bosham claimed maximum bowling points.

In a spell of 11 overs, Barnett took six wickets for just 26 runs – this after splitting open a finger in an attempted caught and bowled in his first over.

Sutton Scotney v Midhurst II
Failure to score enough runs for the bowlers to defend caused Midhurst II another defeat.

Robbie Pearce hit 39 and Nick Plater contributed 15 not out – but Midhurst were 30 runs short of a decent total.

Gareth Cox and Dave Green bowled with menace, each taking two wickets, and David Hamilton-Fox weighed in with a great stumping. But Sutton Scotney ran out easy victors.
