Chichester won for the third time in four starts with a seven wicket win at Roffey.

They are 24 points ahead of the chasing pack, among whom Middleton, St James and Pulborough all won their games.

Roffey were dismissed for 177 but Chichester, led by 59 not out from skipper Mark Bamford, won with some comfort at 180 for 3.

Middleton won the toss against Worthing and made a formidable 251 for 7 declared of which Steve Collins hit 81 and Ben Hansford 53 while Andy Lutwyche, for Worthing, took 5 for 94.

The visitors were then bowled out for 204 despite 49 from David Marshallsay and 44 from Darryl Rebbets.

The only drawn game of the day was at Stirlands where the home side hung on at 162 for 9 facing a Bexhill score of 189 all out.

For Bexhill David Lowry made 77 and Sean Austin 42 as Sean Heather took 6 for 51.

Ben Rapson was top scorer for Stirlands as Chris Topp grabbed 5 for 48.

In division three west, Billingshurst and Bognor are neck and neck at the top of the table and both enjoyed impressive victories on Saturday.

For Bognor there was a high scoring home game with Findon that the home side won by 35 runs.

In a Bognor total of 277 for 5 declared, after being put in, Elliott Clarke hit 123 and Max Ashmore 94 as the pair shared an opening partnership of 232.

Jon Augustus was in form for Slinfold as he hit 84 to take his side to a four wicket win at home to Pagham who they bowled out for 183 and then reached 185 for 6 to take maximum points.
