It has been three years since Bosham Cricket Club have represented the village in league cricket.

In 2012, after an influx of interested local players, they managed seven friendlies against local teams.

It was during that season that the decision was made to enter a team into the Hampshire League for 2013.

Starting in the regional south east division four, they gained momentum throughout the season. With excellent standout performances by individual players plus great team chemistry and depth in the squad, promotion was achieved.

Bosham won ten out of 14 games over the course of the summer, placing them third in the league.

With the top three teams gaining promotion, they can now look forward to playing in regional three south-east and feel they are capable of back-to-back promotions.

By creating a large pool of players and a strong youth set-up, they aim to offer league, friendly and youth games for many local teams.

Bosham have a pitch with some of the most picturesque views of any sporting venues in the area.

Their aim is to be playing at our own ground as soon as possible and they hope that through having another sucessful season next year, they can raise enough funds to finance the preparation and maintenance of the cricket square and outfield.

They require changing rooms in order to comply with league regulations. This is an ongoing project which is the next step into creating a local sports club open to all ages, playing at good levels, in beautiful surroundings.
