Boys and girls come out to play - but not many of them

Weather accounted for most of last weekend's youth football - but a couple of games beat the rain.

UNDER-12 BOYS

Northchapel 3 Cranleigh 4

Champions Chapel slipped to only their second league defeat all season.

Cranleigh started brightly and took the lead after ten minutes.

Then Chapel took hold and Warren scored with a stunning left-foot drive.

Cranleigh scored two quick goals in the second half, but Chapel hit back through Dowdell with a cool finish, then five minutes before time, Pattison looked to have secured a point.

But with two minutes left, Marr turned a shot on to the post, only for the ball to spin straight to a Cranleigh striker, who made it 4-3.

UNDER-12 GIRLS

Whyke Utd 0 Felpham 4

Felpham made it three wins from three this season against Whyke.

When Whyke hit the post, it proved a turning point and Felpham went ahead through Amber Beaven.

Jodie Greenway made it 2-0 and with Charlotte Vawdrey again Felpham's mainstay in defence, it allowed Abbie Flower and Greenway to round off the scoring.
