Chichester crash - but stay top

Chichester remain top of Sussex League division two - despite crashing to a home defeat to Glynde.

Bexhill lie second following a 90 run win at Middleton and Pulboroough are now third after beating St.James by 112 runs.

Stirlands enjoyed a six wicket win at Worthing.

Joe Adams, with 93, led the way for Glynde to 210 for 9 declared at home to Chichester who tumbled to 120 all out in reply.

David Lowery cracked 130 for Bexhill in a total of 246 for 5 declared at Middleton, Jonathan Haffenden also hit form, he made 52 not out.

The home side tumbled to 156 all out despite 46 from Brendan Hanley and 41 from Ben Hansford.

Worthing skipper Dominic Clapp hit 101 not out as his side were dismissed for 198 at Stirlands with Danny Cox taking 4 for 33 and Sean Heather 3 for 33.

The home side chased down the total to win at 202 for 4 with 104 not out from Ben Rapson.

In the Third Division West Bognor lead Billingshurst by 9 points at the top although the second placed club has a game in hand.

Bognor were held to a draw at Slinfold when they held on at 202 for 8 after the home side had declared at 240 for 9 with 56 from Guy Thorne. Phil Ball made 55 in the Bognor score.
