Sussex Sharks: Sky Sports choose seven games for live TV coverage

Sussex will be featured live several times by Sky Sports this season, including all four days of the mouthwatering clash against LV=County Champions Lancashire.

The Champions will be welcomed to The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove, between Wednesday 9 and Saturday 12 May, and the hosts will be aiming to defeat the reigning champions in front of the cameras for the second season running, following the nine-wicket victory over 2010 winners Nottinghamshire last May.

Sky will also be making their way to The PROBIZ for one-day action before the end of May when the Sharks welcome Yorkshire Carnegie to Hove for a floodlit Clydesdale Bank 40 affair, a repeat of last season’s live fixture.

The first Friends Life t20 match at The PROBIZ this season sees Hampshire Royals make the short journey east along the A27 on Thursday, June 14, a game that will be televised along with the Sharks’ trip to Chelmsford to take on the Essex Eagles a fortnight later.

Sussex’s two floodlit CB40 trips to the Midlands will both be live, against 2010 Champions Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston on Wednesday, July 11, as well as the clash with Derbyshire Falcons at Derby four weeks later.

The return match against the Bears will also be screened from The PROBIZ on Wednesday, August 15, whilst Sky will televise matches from the final round of fixtures in all three formats depending on positions in the table, which potentially could see three further Sussex fixtures live on Sky, not forgetting quarter, semi and finals from the one-day competitions.

Confirmed live television matches:

9-12 April – LV=CC vs Lancashire, The PROBIZ County Ground

24 May – CB40 vs Yorkshire Carnegie, The PROBIZ County Ground

14 June – FLt20 vs Hampshire Royals, The PROBIZ County Ground

28 June – FLt20 vs Essex Eagles, Chelmsford

11 July – CB40 vs Warwickshire Bears, Edgbaston

8 August – CB40 vs Derbyshire Falcons, Derby

15 August – CB40 vs Warwickshire Bears, The PROBIZ County Ground
