BOGNOR beat Monday's transfer deadline with two minutes to spare to sign Wes Fogden on loan from Brighton.
The 19-year-old will go straight into the side to visit play-off chasing Fisher Athletic on Saturday.
Rocks manager Michael Birmingham revealed he had been trailing the midfielder since the beginning of the season.
"We played them in a pre-season friendly and when he went through one of our players after a couple of minutes I knew he was a tough little sod," Birmingham said.
"He'll certainly add a bit of steel to the team. He can play on the right side of midfield but he's equally at home in the centre."
Fogden spent three months on loan at Blue Square South rivals Dorchester earlier in the season, scoring twice in 14 matches.
But he was recalled by Seagulls boss Dean Wilkins to answer an injury crisis and made his Brighton debut in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Swansea.
Birmingham said Fogden would definitely start at Fisher alongside fellow new signing Phil Warner.
"We've got two players to come in and that means a couple of disappointed faces in the dressing room. But in our current predicament I can't afford to worry about that," Birmingham said.
"I'm just delighted to have got Wes. My phone ran out of charge about three times but Jack Pearce is up at the FA and confirmed it had definitely gone through."
