Clack on track for England football glory

JOSH CLACK is celebrating making his England Colleges debut.
The 18-year-old Worthing Rebels striker was a substitute in their 2-0 defeat to Wales at The New Saints’ ground on Monday.
But after impressing coaches at a series of trials and a Lilleshall training camp, the teenager is set to see plenty more action with the national side over the next few months.
He is in line to feature against a Welsh Colleges team next month and will be in the squad for a tournament in Italy involving England, Slovenia, Poland and the host nation.
Clack, who joined Worthing from Horsham in the summer after playing for Midhurst as a junior, said: “I did well at the trials and was really pleased to get in the squad of 18 for the year.
“Although we lost in Wales I thought I did okay and I’m looking forward to the next game. I want to go all the way in football and make a career of it.”
Clack has made a number of substitute appearances for Worthing’s first team and has scored ten goals in six games for the youth team.
He paid tribute to coach Darin Killpartrick and other staff at Chichester College, where he is studying level two health and fitness and level three personal training. He plays for the college’s academy team every Wednesday.
