Chichester ladies are finding life in their new division tough after slipping to a second straight loss for the first time in three seasons - 2-0 at Ebbsfleet.

Chichester’s back-line saw Richardson return alongside Starkey. For all their good play, Chichester failed to threaten – although Shrubb had a goal disallowed.

Disaster struck just before half-time as Ebbsfleet nabbed two goals through a couple of sensational passes and cool finishes.

The introduction of Evans and Ogden helped pressurise the Fleet goal and Shrubb had several near misses.

Chichester make the long journey to Ipswich this week.

Gabi Fisher delivered decent crosses and it was 3-1 when Ambler stole the ball and drove into the area to finish neatlyr.

Ambler rounded the keeper to get her second.
