Pagham finished the season with a 3-0 win at Dorking, giving them the three points which enabled them to leapfrog their hosts into seventh position in the final Sussex League first-division table.

Michael Frangou and Matt Wood gave Pagham a 2-0 half-time lead. Jake Hawker found space for number three just after the restart.

The Lions have won six of their final ten games and drawn the other four, giving them great confidence as they go into the summer months.

Back at the clubhouse that evening, Jake Hawker picked up the players’ player of the year award, while Ruben French got the manager’s player award.

Top scorer was Scott Murfin while James Binfield received the supporters’ player trophy.

For the reserves, the silver boot went to Josh Irish and the manager’s player was James Walters.

The under-18s had Josh Irish as top scorer and the players’ player award went to Matt Terry. Their supporters’ player and young club player of the year were well-deserved wins for Nathan Ediker.

The final accolade went to Linda Hallett as club person of the year.

Meanwhile, Gary Block is the new manager of Pagham - taking over from John Price, who stepped down a few weeks ago.
