Selsey find it’s not fun to stay at YMCA

Selsey’s new-year blues continued with an unfortunate 2-1 defeat at Horsham YMCA.

The visitors limited Horsham well in the first half but fell behind shortly after the restart when Ash Dugdale’s volley put the home side ahead.

Dan Harrington equalised ten minutes later when his bursting run down the left created an opportunity to cut inside and expertly curl a shot past the keeper.

But in the 68th minute, an unfortunate deflection from Sam Joyce rebounded of Jack Bingham and in for an own goal.

Selsey have lost three of their past four matches in a tough and congested group of away fixtures for new manager Ryan Pharo.

Focus now turns to a home fixture against promotion candidates Littlehampton this weekend.
