Sidlesham footballers have had a boost from a local holiday park.
Bosses at Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park have sponsored kits for their first team and a ladies’ team.
The £900 deal could be the start of a long-term arrangement between the park and club, which came about when Sids manager Daren Pearce – who owns one of the 400 units at Lakeside – approached the site’s sales manager Lee Misljen.
Lee said: “They were struggling a bit with finding funds for their kits so we offered to get involved. It raises our profile locally and benefits them in a big way too.”
The 150-acre, 11-lake holiday park is situated off Vinnetrow Road, just south of the A27, and is open 351 days a year.

Sidlesham took advantage of Bosaham’s weekend of cup action by closing the gap on them at the top with a comfortable win at Ferring.
It wasn’t long before they took the lead. Good interplay between Tom Bayley and Callum Dowdell put Dowdell in behind his full-back to score with a smart finish.
The second arrived soon after, Bayley firing home after a good run.
Ferring worked tirelessly but were finding it hard to get to grips with the away side.
The home team grew in confidence and broke forward a couple of times but were stopped by the Sidlesham defence.
Goal number three came from Tom Kelly after good forward play.
The second half started as the first had ended with Sidlesham controlling the game but still lacking that final killer pass.
The fourth arrived when Dan Bassil exchanged passes with 16-year-old Callum Litterick and fired home.
Ferring nabbed the consolation their hard work deserved when they broke after Sidlesham gave the ball away.
Sidlesham got their fifth soon after when Bayley teed up young Litterick, who arrived in the box to fire home his first goal in senior football.
The away side had more chances but good goalkeeping and missed chances meant the score stayed the same.
Ferring never gave up and fought to the end.
This week sees Sidlesham travel to East Preston in the Intermediate Cup (3pm).
Sidlesham: C Kelly, T Kelly, Sandals (Bassil), Robinson, Leggatt, Roberts, Williams (Litterick), T Hayes, D Hayes (Colbourne), Dowdell, Bayley.
