Jarvis Brook took advantage of Bosham’s dropped points to close the gap at the top to three points although the Robins have a game in hand and a far superior goal difference as they prepare for the last few games.

Callum Fewell once again took the gloves for Bosham and Nick Edgington returned to the starting line-up while Sam James made a welcome return alongside Marco Giambelardini and Jake Lafferty in attack.

James was first to test home keeper Aaron Jeal and the Reds continued to press but Roffey were tough to break down.

Fewell made a full-length save when Adam Wicking shot from long distance.

On the half-hour a Bosham defensive mix-up gifted the hosts a golden chance but it went begging.

Before the interval Alex Barnes had a wonderful chance for Bosham but Jeal was at his best to deny him with a smart save.

Shortly after the interval James broke through but sent his effort over bar.

Roffey looked increasingly dangerous on the break. Gavin Fowler and Harri Nourse had glimpses of the target but the Bosham defenders dealt with the threats.

Bosham upped the tempo and put the hosts under heavy pressure in the remaining minutes but the goal just wouldn’t come.

This week Bosham are not in action so Jarvis Brook can go level on points with the long-time leaders, though the goal difference will almost certainly keep the Reds on top.

Bosham entertain Roffey at Walton Lane on Saturday week.
