The Blues started on the front foot and were ahead within five minutes, Joe Clarke heading home from close range.

Selsey continued to threaten but a combination of poor finishing and outstanding goalkeeping meant Midhurst were still in the game.

And with their first real attack Midhurst equalised. A deep cross met by veteran striker Gary Norgate was brilliantly saved by Jordan Smith but the rebound fell to Lewis Hamilton, who fired home to make it 1-1 at half-time.

The second half was totally dominated by Selsey, goals by the impressive Tom Groom and a second of real quality from man of the match Clarke made it 3-1.

The Blues continued to create chance after chance but the Midhurst goal survived the onslaught.

Selsey remain on course for a top-six finish which would be great reward for efforts on and off the pitch.
