THERE’S a new bit of life-saving kit at Nyewood Lane thanks to an FA scheme and the goodwill of one of the Rocks’ major sponsors.

Local Volkswagen dealer Peter Cooper has paid a third of the cost of a defibrillator – a piece of equipment that every club is being encouraged to have to hand in case of emergencies.

The national scheme is seeing the FA and British Heart Foundation each pay a third of the cost, with clubs expected to find the rest.

Rocks general manager Jack Pearce said: “We’re extremely grateful to Perry Lee at Peter Cooper for their donation.”
