Pompey have sealed loan deals for Paul Benson and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.
Striker Benson has joined from Swindon, while winger Mendez-Laing arrives from Peterborough, both on initial one-month deals, although they are expected to stay at Fratton Park until January.
The duo are set to go straight into the Blues’ starting line-up for Saturday’s visit of Doncaster.
Caretaker Blues manager Guy Whittingham has brought in a much-needed attacking options in place of Luke Rodgers, who joined Shrewsbury last week until January, with a view to a permanent move.
Benson was a key part of the Robins side who won promotion from League Two last season but has seen his first-team chances limited this term.
The Londoner started his professional career at Dagenham & Redbridge, where he scored 74 goals in 178 matches, before moving to Charlton in 2010.
Winger Mendez-Laing, 20, started at Wolves and signed a permanent deal with Peterborough last summer after impressing there while on loan.
