Sam Sodje is resting easy again thanks to Pompey’s flying form.
The 33-year-old defender revealed his side’s sorry 23-match run without a victory gave him sleepless nights.
Sodje spoke of his pain at that nightmare sequence the Blues were on until last month’s win at Crewe.
Pompey supporters rolled out the gallows humour during that spell, singing ‘you’re nothing special, we lose every week’ to opposing fans.
That hurt Sodje, with the Nigerian admitting the chant got to him and some of his team-mates.
The Fratton faithful have buried that song, however, off the back of hugely-improved results in recent weeks.
Pompey go into today’s clash with Stevenage as one of League One’s form teams.
And they meet Boro bidding to make it 10 weeks without defeat Fratton Park.
Sodje said: ‘When we were losing and I was in the team I couldn’t sleep.
‘The fans were saying we lose every week, and I couldn’t take it. I had to come out and tell them to keep it shut!
‘I’m happy we’ve proved them wrong on that one.
‘The song was banter, but it’s changed and they don’t sing it any more.
‘I think Pompey fans are the best ever because they keep supporting their team.
‘The fans stayed behind us when we were losing.
‘The manager said to us “imagine what it would be like if we were winning”.
‘We have given them more belief which is good – and now it’s about the future.’
