Simon Ferry has today left Pompey by mutual consent.
And John Sullivan has also departed as Andy Awford’s squad revamp continues.
As reported by The News on Thursday, the Blues have been in negotiations with the out-of-favour Sullivan to rip up the final 12 months of his deal.
However, the exit of the popular Ferry remains a shock, despite an injury-hampered maiden campaign on the south coast.
Although in the case of the Scotsman, his departure has been influenced by a desire to move back up north following the failure of his family to settle in the area.
Awford said: ‘We have come to an agreement with both to leave by mutual consent.
‘We thank them for their efforts and wish them all the best for the future.’
