POMPEY’s rivals are continuing their playing overhauls this summer.

And few sides have been as frenetic in their business as the Blues’ play-off opponents Plymouth.

Argyle have taken their summer recruitment tally to 13, with the signing of midfielder David Fox.

Fox arrives at Home Park as a free agent after leaving Crewe Alexandra at the end of last season.

He follows David Ijaha into the club, who agreed a move after a trial with Derek Adams’ side. The former Chelsea Academy player has been operating in non-league football – most recently with Whitehawk.

Plymouth have already signed former Pompey defender Sonny Bradley.

Adams has also recruited Jimmy Spencer, David Goodwillie, Jordan Slew, Nauris Bulvitis, Yann Songo’o, Oscar Threlkeld, Karleigh Osborne, Connor Smith, Gary Miller and Ryan Donaldson.

Crewe have landed a Premier League prospect in the shape of Alex Kiwomya for the new season.

Kiwomya – nephew of former Ipswich man Chris – has had loan spells at Barnsley and Fleetwood in his career to date.

The 20-year-old becomes Crewe’s fourth summer signing after Ryan Lowe, Chris Dagnall and Liam Smith arrived at Gresty Road.

Grimsby have carried out a massive shake-up of their playing staff.

Barnsley’s Kayden Jackson is the latest player to agree a move to Blundell Park.

The likes of Zak Mills, Luke Summerfield, Ashley Chambers and former Pompey man Ben Davies are just some of the other new faces with the Mariners.

Luton have handed Isaac Vassell a one-year deal after a successful trial, with the 22-year-old operating in National League South with Truro City.

Wycombe have also dipped into non-league football to sign midfielder Nick Freeman. Freeman impressive on trial after he’d been playing for Histon.

Gareth Ainsworth has already signed Dayle Southwell, Myles Weston and Adebayo Akinfenwa and Paris Cowan-Hall on loan.

Stevenage have signed Jobi McAnuff after he left Leyton Orient, with Accrington landing Blackburn winger Luke Wall on a one-year deal.

Former Pompey trainer Andre Blackman and ex-Chelsea man Billy Clifford are the latest of 16 new faces at Crawley. Paul Cook has brought eight new players to the Blues this summer.
