GALLERY: Heyday of golf celebrated at Goodwood
Steve Rider normally likes this time of year. For years he's been the BBC's man on the spot for the Ryder Cup.
But now he's switched to ITV, to front their Formula 1 coverage, he can put his feet up, pour himself a glass of wine - and watch events unfold on the TV like the rest of us.
Strangely, though, he's not looking forward to it as much as you might imagine.
"It's going to be nerve-racking - far more so than being out there," he said.
"When you're out there, you feel a part of it. But just watching it on TV is going to be really tense.
"And I think it's going to be very, very close.
"I think not having Tiger Woods will be a motivating factor for the Americans. They've got a few rookies and I think there will be a real togetherness about their team this year.
"You look at the European team, though, and it's strong. And I'm a Nick Faldo fan - although there don't seem to be many of us around - and I think he'll do a good job.
"For my nerves, I hope it doesn't go down to the final few holes on Sunday. But I've a feeling it will...."
And former European Tour professional and now TV pundit Mark Roe reckons it will be the Europeans celebrating on Sunday evening.
"I wrote down both sides and matched them up - and I think we'll have the edge," he said.
"But I think it's going to be close."
Rider and Roe were talking after taking part in a celebrity golf tournament at Goodwood which kicked off the Revival weekend.
The celebrities taking part included Chris Evans, Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart, Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman and former Ryder Cup player Paul Way.
