TOP female jockey Hayley Turner is the newly-appointed ambassador to Goodwood - and will be giving readers her thoughts on the card at every fixture this season.

She makes her own first appearance of 2013 on the track on Thursday afternoon - here are her thoughts...

“In the first, the Goodwood Business Club Maiden Stakes at 1.55, I ride a nice filly called Enobled for Sir Michael Stoute. She ran well first time out and she has improved from that run.

“I like the look of Charitable Act in the second race at 2.30, the 32Red Stakes. He ran a bit fresh first time out but will improve for the run.

“Culdaff has a bit of experience and I think he should run well in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Maiden Stakes at 3.00.

“I ride Ribbons for James Fanshawe in the fourth race on the card, the Nissan Innovation and Excitement Fillies Stakes at 3.30. I really like this filly, she won first time out and is well handicapped so I’d like to think she could go close.

“In the Golf at Goodwood Stakes at 4.05, I like the look of Where’s Reiley. He hasn’t run at Goodwood before but the course should suit him and he is well handicapped on the grass.

“Our Folly ran well here in October last year and he also has a good apprentice on board who claims 5lb so I think he has a good chance in the Molecomb Blue Stakes at 4.40.

“In the last, the Three Friday Nights Maiden Stakes at 5.15, my pick would be the Sir Henry Cecil-trained Squire Osbaldeston.”
