Outdoor club Norfolk, from Littlehampton, were the visitors to Arun for a six-rink annual mixed fixture.
Arun won on four rinks, lost on two and won overall 130-101.
Arun were 38 shots up at the halfway stage of ten ends but many of Norfolk’s bowlers do not play indoors and they played well in the second half to keep the shot difference down.

There was another excellent win for Arun in this men’s six-rink Sussex indoor league fixture. Arun won on four rinks and lost on two, gaining nine points. Top rink for Arun was rink four, who won by 18 shots.

Arun travelled to Grattons IBC in East Sussex for a six-rink annual friendly men’s fixture, winning on three rinks and losing on three but coming out the victors by 12 shots.
There was only a two-shot difference at the halfway stage of ten ends but good steady bowling in the second ten ends saw them home.

Arun Ladies 93 Wealden 52
Arun ladies are having a very good run in the Yetton Trophy. They played Wealden in the fourth round and won an excellent game as Arun outbowled Wealden home and away. Arun won by 41 shots.
The fifth round is against East Dorset today.

West Sussex SMBA’s triples championship attracted 20 teams.
After the round-robin matches, the quarter-finals matched Midhurst against Slinfold Infinity, Lavant against Ashington, another Slinfold Infinity team against The Martlets and The Martlets’ other team against West Chiltington.
Slinfold beat Midhurst 10-4, Lavant beat Ashington 9-4, The Martlets beat Slinfold 11-3 and The Martlets combination beat West Chiltington 11-4.
In the first semi-final Lavant’s Ray Harding, Peter Winter and Peter Whale quickly established a lead over the Slinfold combination of Melanie Haulkham, Ben Haulkham and Chris Page and ran out 9-2 winners.
In the second semi-final the two Martlets teams faced each other with Chris Rolph, Mel Lillywhite and Marc Lancaster beating Chris Blackman, Jack Rollings and Malcolm Rollings 10-2.
In the final the Lavant team, two of whom were the current holders and playing in their fifth consecutive final, took an early lead only to be hauled back by The Martlets, who clinched an 8-5 victory.
At home to Warberton Nyetimber Green had a convincing win in the league. Mat one won 25-9, mat two 31-6 and on mat three in a friendly, Nyetimber had a good 26-13 victory. At Southbourne, Nyetimber Golds lost. One mat lost 39-10 the second 26-19 to give the hosts victory.
Two friendlies gave Bognor Goodwoods a break from league pressures.
First was a very close game against Barnham, which Goodwoods lost by just one shot.
Mary Fair, Barry Baines, Danny Lovell and Derek Fair lost 26-17 after conceding three, four, five and four on consecutive ends at the halfway stage. Betty Williams, Grace Roope, Freddie Kaucher and Brian Mills won 22-17.
With Marian Goodland, Jean Harbut, Brian Williams and Brian Goodland winning 25-22, Goodwoods fell one short, the overall score 65-64.
Arundel were the visitors for the next friendly and Goodwoods won on all three mats.
G Roope, G King, J Harbut and B Mills scored steadily for a 29-18 win. M Williams, M Goodland, B Goodland and B Williams trailed until two ends from home when they overtook the visitors to win 21-19.
R Weidenhoft, J Hanson, P Smith and F Kaucher pulled up after halfway to win 21-12, giving a final score of 71-49 to Goodwoods.
Donnington continued their schedule of friendlies with a home match against West Wittering.
Dave Turner, Brian Aston, Trevor Wilson and club captain John Roberts won 31-9 and Rob Stone, Wendy Dean, Innes Taylor and skip Mike Bayfield won 30-14.
Donnington entertained Chilgrove, welcoming them with mulled wine to dull their senses.
Rob Stone, Terry Taws and John Roberts won 21-15 while Marjorie Beasley, Steph Baverstock and Ron Beasley scraped a win by 20-18.
Fittleworth had an enjoyable 63-44 win over Sutton.

The Martlets entertained Midhurst in the first round of the West Sussex Plate and won 52-35.
Marion Rolph, Andy Clarke, Chris Blackman and Jack Rollings beat Terry Berry’s rink 28-20 while Charlotte Rollings, David Thorpe, Chris Rolph and Marc Lancaster were 24-15 victors over visiting captain Ron Weekes’ side.
