Bognor Squash and Racketball Club’s annual championship was overshadowed by the recent sudden death of one of their most prominent members, Grant Skinner.
A winner of several titles including men’s champion in 2013, Grant would have surely featured this year and he will be sadly missed for his playing and social contribution.
A fairly low-key event this year saw some new names to go on the trophies. Pat Jones overcame former winner Steve Porter to take the men’s open and Sports Club chairman Ray Kidd was a popular winner of the handicap.
Last year’s ladies winner Gail Cuthbert retained her crown against newcomer Kelly Enticott and Ben Skinner was voted both most improved player and best junior.
