EX-ROCKS keeper and keen darts player Craig Stoner caused a power cut by defeating 16-time world champion Phil The Power Taylor in the Crawley K2 Masters.
The Littlehampton and Sussex ace found himself trailing 1-0 after the first leg and had a battle on his hands with The Power throwing first in the second leg. But Stoner held his nerve to take the second and third legs to win the exhibition match.
Since hanging up his gloves at Nyewood Lane, the Green Army fans’ favourite has won the Sussex county darts championship with champions Littlehampton and represented Sussex, winning his debut with a man of the match award.
Now, beating the man legendary darts commentator Sid Waddell called ‘the best darts player to ever draw breath’ is a new high point.
